Joe, it's so good to know that you attended Maryknoll right after WW II. I hope we'll get to exchange memories of old Baguio and of Maryknoll. Baguio is an entirely different city today, with 500,000 people on any given day, a large portion of whom being squatters. So different from the Baguio I grew up in -- a lazy, laid-back small town.

Joe, who were your teachers at Maryknoll in Baguio? Was Sr. Rose Anthony one of them? She was my older brother's teacher, and he graduated from Maryknoll in 1952. You may even have known him since he started there in 1946. His name is Ernesto C. Abellera. -- Benjie A.

well i am giving my comment as to how nbi Baguio deals with nbi clearances renewal for people with hit. last 2014,a staff told me to get my clearance after 3 days,,but now I' m little bit disappointed because a staff said i'll get it on February. so i need to wait for 2 more weeks..well, i think that's a long time,,and i actually need it before February.

I studied at what was then Maryknoll Convent School from 1951 (Kindergarten) to 1958 (6th grade) and had for teachers Sr. Carmencita, Sr. John Eileen, Sr. Candida Maria, Sr. Margaret George (who taught me how to read when it was found out I couldn't read a single word in Grade 2), and Sr. Janet Mary. Sr. Rose Madeline was principle at one time. I will forever treasure those years spent on that lovely hill and in that lovely building (alas demolished after the 1990 earthquake). -- Benjie Abellera

Am informing BNCRD of a 2yo cherry tree in my backyard. D ko po sinadya, may nailagay akong bunga sa shoulder bag ko. I found it out 4 months after na may iilang piraso na buto sa bulsa at nasa pinas nko.We placed it sa iisang pot na may lupa and believe me, tumubo po.The question is, if mamunga kaya? Pests love it, so 3x/day, am checking the plant. 2 yrs old na po ngayon, it looks healthy. Ang bansa na pinanggalingan ng buto is known to grow one of the best and cherries in the world. Who knows, mapamunga natin at maparami ito. I live in Baguio City and if you want to see the cherry tree and other details, my number is 09307801298.
